| 'Garments unstable for govt irresponsibility' |

A News and Images report Dhaka, July 30: BNP senior Joint secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir claimed that the 'wrong principles and irresponsibility' of the government had made the garments industry unstable. He made the comment while placing floral wreaths at Zia’s grave on Friday afternoon. He said that the government had failed to negotiate between the garments workers and owners. Fakhrul blamed the government for the current instability in the garments sector saying it did not take adequate steps to stabilise the situation leading to the current consequence. khs/rm/1840hrs |
